Ears to the Streets 2008
Wednesday, March 26th, 2008April 13th, 7PM at FLC
In a world where we connect through screens, how do you connect to others? A gathering of as many young adults in the area as possible for one night only storytelling of people’s lives, of the community we call home, and great music. Young adults have passion for life, let’s connect as many people as we can! Imagine over 200 people connecting around a purpose. One hour, one night of conversation, music, storytelling and ice cream. Don’t miss this! Everyone welcome! Bring a donation for the St. Louis Park Emergency program ($1 has the buying power of $9 at a food shelf.)
For Adult education, we’ll be using Mary Hinkle Shore’s short book Signs of Belonging. Here’s a short description:
“So you want to belong to a church. Are you good enough? Professor Mary Hinkle challenges that question with a lively and down-to-earth study on the true ‘marks’ of the church. She reminds us that the church is neither a country club nor a political action group. It is a body of imperfect people who will not stop practicing God’s forgiveness in the church until they get it right for the sake of the world. Hinkle reminded me why I am a member of a church!”
