A Movable Feast

Community; it’s about knowing the names of your neighbors. The African proverb, “it takes a village to raise a child” was fleshed out last night as a number of youth and supportive mentors from Westwood Lutheran Church ate a progressive dinner that ended with dessert here at First. On hand were leaders from First and Ascension Lutheran Church to welcome them and share in the incredible table of sweets.
There is a tremendous history of relationship between the six Lutheran congregations in Saint Louis Park and now more than ever we are discovering the power of those strengthened relationships. They are a key to not just being the churches in the community, but seeking to be the best churches for the community. We call it Spark!
