New church, community focus
On May 31st, 2009, First and Ascension Lutheran Churches (ELCA) will be uniting as one congregation: Spirit of Christ Community Lutheran Church. Both congregations have strong ties to the Saint Louis Park community with long-term commitments to service. This new congregation, rooted in the Sorensen neighborhood at 5801 Minnnetonka Blvd, will endeavor to be a vital community partner on issues of justice and care for the under served. Look for the neighborhood food drive in July!

Curious about the runaway bestselling book The Shack? Bring a friend not connected to our community but perhaps interested in Jesus and join us as we take two Wednesdays to explore what made this book so controversial.
